Mr. & Mrs. Salter

After graduating from Hutch Tech, he attended Canisius College where he met his wife, Kimberly Salter. Aaron and Kimberly got married on Christmas morning in 1988 at Midtown Bible Church by the late Pastor Tommy Pressley Jr. Aaron and Kimberly have three children, Latisha (William) Slaughter, Aaron Salter, III, and adopted daughter Tanya Salter.

As a respected and loved family man, Aaron created countless memories for his family. He extended his love of travel to his wife, children and children’s friends by going on yearly trips down south and to Cedar Point. Beautiful memories were masterfully captured by his video recorder to be cherished by his family for years to come.

What We're About

Keeping His Memory Alive by Serving

Who Are We

A scholarship program dedicated to the life of the late Lt. Aaron Salter. Keeping his memory alive by investing in our youth.

Our Goals

Our goal though this scholarship is to help the youth further their education on the road to college.

As the years go by from this terrible event, we wanted to create something in a positive light that would last forever.

Bradford Pitts, Earl Perrin and Nate Goldsmith
How Do You Carry On The Legacy?

Through Life

They are creating a scholarship at Hutchinson Central Technical High School, where Salter graduated almost 40 years ago. The annual award will go to a student “mechanically inclined and interested in improving upon existing technology in such a way that would make life easier and better for future generations,” someone whose work ethic and civic passion echo Salter’s.
